Small ornithopods from the Cretaceous of South America seem to be close relatives of those from Australia. Tiny dinosaurs aren’t the only prehistoric animals shared by these two continents; others include megaraptoran theropods, diamantinasaurian titanosaurs and ancestral platypuses.
