It’s (still) not a wombat. While there are aspects of the lives of extinct creatures that we may never know, it is truly remarkable how much we can find out with the right methods. Analysis of the chemistry of a fossil Diprotodon tooth revealed that the animal moved about the landscape repeatedly during its life. This most likely means that this species was migratory.
